Re-Light Program
2004
The ophthalmologic medical companion in China of HWB - “Yinghua Ophthalmology” began to engage in surgeries aiming at regaining eyesight in some poor inland area such as: Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and Hebei, etc.
2005 - 2006
Yinghua Ophthalmology launched the “Love and Bright activity”, which, in 2006 became the public welfare activity under the support and administration of China Red Cross Foundation officially.
In December, we provided 200 cataract surgeries in Seda of Sichuan and the first group of patients received free treatments.
In May, 2006, we provided free surgeries for five poor patients in Xining, Qinghai. Moreover, we went to Qomolangma in Rikaze under Tibet to provided free physical examinations for the inhabitants there.
In August, we gave the students in Wanger Primary School in Laiyuan county of Hebei and the farmers surrounding free physical examinations and surgeries.
In December, we launched the activity named “Great Help and Bright Travel” from Hebei, China and provided free cataract surgeries for 100 poor cataract patients from Hebei.
In November, we launched “Yan Zhao bright travel” activity, and provided free cataract surgeries for 100 poor cataract patients from Hebei.
2007
In April, 2007, Doctor Ye Zilong’s “Yinghua Ophthalmology” joined the HWB, cooperated with Beijing Red Cross to assist the plan of helping regaining eyesight without national boundaries. Moreover, it set up the “HWB ophthalmologic treatment station” and “HWB medical car team”.
In June, we prepared to construct an Eye Bank and appeal to people to donate organs after death.
In July, we set up “Help without Boundaries” Ophthalmologic Treatment Station in Jiujiang, Jiangxi.
In August, we cooperated with China Red Cross Foundation and reassured the theme of our program “Help without Boundaries” - Bright Mission and offered 200 free cataract surgeries in Jiangxi, Sichuan.
2008
From January 6 to 28 , we joined the Baoding Economic Radio Broadcast Station in Hebei and launched a  loving care activity in 2008——“Help in Winter”, which sent 512 winter coats to inhabitants in Shunping, Yi county, Fuping, three national rural poverty areas in Baoding. Meantime, we arranged free ophthalmologic consultations and surgeries.
On June 6, the Eye-care day, we launched an activity “Bright Eyes for Olympics” where people could play lantern riddles with prizes. Moreover, we donated 3600 sunglasses to them.
2009
From January 7 in 2009, the second group of the 300 clothes which were raised directionally for Baoding, Hebei by HWB began to be handed out.
On June 28, 2009, the program “Bright Action into Baoding - treating cataract patients free” was started in cooperation with Baoding Charity Committee. The program raised a fund of RMB 1,000,000, planning to treat 1,000 poor cataract patients directionally in Baoding in one year.
In September, Yushu Ophthalmologic Medical Station was founded.
The program “Bright Action into Baoding”, the construction of medical station as well as ophthalmologic surgeries will be continued into 2010.
